What exactly did Jesus come to do? Start a Country Club for wealthy consumerist Christians... a new political party perhaps... how about a social revolution {"you say you want a revolution, yeaah eeaahh"} where everybody plays nice? You know, like in kindergarten.

Maybe He came to bring a Kingdom not of this world, and to form a Church to spread that Kingdom's boundaries from here to Eternity, the kind of Church that throws birthday parties for hookers at 3 o'clock in the morning! That's the kind of Church most of us would join ...one that brings love to the loveless, grace to the graceless, joy to those who've never experienced it and celebration to those who've never had anything to celebrate, to the lost and lonely who have never been valued, never been treasured, never been worthwhile as human beings. They are treasures in the eyes of Jesus. And we must show them, by His love, what He did for them.
