We celebrated Communion together as a Body, the remembrance of our Savior's sacrifice, with words from Mike Childers and Paul Peterson on the Body and bread and the Blood and wine. Then we took a deep, long look at how we don't live with the Hope of a New Heaven and a New Earth pounding away in our hearts. And because of that, how we fail to love and love well, how we so easily give in to fear.
Fear of Life, fear of death, fear of failure, fear of each other, fear of relationships ...and on and on and on it goes. Instead of living with the critical realization that our past is redeemed, our future secure, and our present finally makes sense! Instead of living like those who have NOTHING to lose because their lives-- their real lives-- have barely even begun.
