The Four Loves

Eros. Philos. Storge. Agape. These are the four loves known and practiced in Greek communities throughout the ancient world. In this teaching, we take a look at each and how they relate to us as children of God, specifically the two used over and over again in the writings of the New Testament.

Long before the Time of Christ, philos {'friendship and affection, camaraderie and companionship,' an alike-ness and affiniti between two} was the common term and agape the uncommon. The Holi Spirit flipped that around, however, bi pouring a content of sacrifice and selflessness into agape which it had never contained before. That is the glori of Jesus Christ!
