The Foundation of Forgiveness

Out of Paul's unequivocal statement in 1 Corinthians 13:5 that Love "keeps no record of wrongs," no lengthy list of unforgiven grievances, comes this three part mini-series on the phenomenal power of forgiveness to free the human soul from the great weight of guilt and shame.

In this initial message, Pastor Ric sets forth from the Old Testament and New the 'foundation of forgiveness,' answering the fundamental philosophical question of "Why do we have to forgive at all?" It's quite simple actually, far beyond the fact that we're commanded to forgive as Abba in Jesus has forgiven us, we forgive because our God is a forgiving Father, a God of graciousness and lovingkindness, longsuffering toward sinners and infinitely faithful to forgive His Sons and Daughters their many, many mis-steps and mistakes.

We forgive, like we love, because He first forgave us. Amen?
