This could be the title of a sermon on a section of Philippians 2:3-4 ...or the epitaph on the headstone of many pastors and ministry leaders.
When it is the latter and not the former, unbelievable damage is done to the lives of people. This should never be. It is unfitting for a child of the King, a son or daughter of the Most High God, to be driven by anything as petty as selfish ambition, or as the Greeks defined it 'electioneering for office'-- pushing others aside, or shoving them down to build yourself up. Horrific.
