We find the teaching of Jesus in Matthew 7 and Luke 6 reflected in the words of James, that "mercy triumphs over judgment." Indeed it does.
It would help us all immensely in our dealings with the irritating and ungrateful, as well as with broken lives and wounded souls, to remember that the same measure which we constantly dole out to others is the exact same measure by which God will judge us. Sobering thought. Gives a whole new power and import to the phrase, "mercy triumphs over judgment," doesn't it?
