This was another unscripted, unedited Spirit-inspired dive straight into the heart of Ephesians 4. We look at command after command laid out by the great Apostle, then wonder together, "So, how do we get from here to there?"
Contrary to our-- and undoubtedly multitudes of others-- misunderstanding of grace in spirituality, there must be a way in which we cooperate with the grace of God as we "grow up into Him who is the Head." Surely, it's not simply a matter of sitting down in the metaphorical 'chair' {probably a rocking chair!} of Jesus and waiting, passively, while all these changes we keep hearing and reading about start happening in us and to us... separate and apart from our active and intelligent engagement with God each and every step of the way. That doesn't seem to have worked for any of the millions who embraced it in the late 20th century.
And it's not going to. We must labor, as Paul said, "with the grace of God," in the Spirit of God. But we must be engaged. This is a deeper look at how: through solitude, silence, and fasting on one side; and study, worship and service on the other.
