Looking Beyond the 'What'

So often when we just casually glance at another's life, not intending to scrutinize, complain, or condemn, we look only at the 'what' and not at the 'why' and we wind up doing it anyway.

Every life, no matter how fractured or fragmented, has a Story of phenomenal detail behind it. Usually, when we get beneath the surface of the soul, an immense amount of brokenness and betrayal in a fallen world. Unless we're willing to engage, to listen, to acknowledge why this life, this soul, this circumstance is the way it is, we'll never understand it... and we'll never minister the love of Jesus to it.

As James said, "Be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger." Amen.
