Jesus speaks to His generation about the "careless words" they, and we, will one day be judged for. These are the idle and unproductive mouthings of religiosity. They sound good on the surface, but that's all they are-- surface. There is no corresponding inner reality nor outward action.

And these are the very things which will critique and condemn our shallow following of Jesus one Day. Maybe we should learn to practice 'engaging mind before opening mouth.' You think?
